Aitor Throup spring/summer 2013 collection & a visit in the designer’s studio
Nous l’attendions depuis longtemps, le talentueux Aitor Throup a présenté son travail durant la Fashion Week londonienne le weekend dernier, au St Martins Lane Hotel.
Créateur de génie, diplômé de la Central St Martins School de Londres, Throup se définit à la fois comme artiste et designer. Ses créations se basent sur une recherche en amont, passant par l’illustration de personnages en mouvement, puis par leur représentation miniature en 3 dimensions, avant de conclure finalement par l’échelle humaine. Rendu célèbre pour ses collaborations avec Umbro sur les maillots de l’équipe de foot anglaise de l’Euro 2010, ou avec CP Company pour remettre au goût du jour la légendaire Goggle Jacket, son travail était cependant déjà très amorcé, avec une collection de diplôme mature et un travail sur les musiciens.
Interviewé récemment par CraneTV, il nous ouvre les portes de son studio, et de son processus de création.

We’ve waited for it, the talented Aitor Throup presented his work during the London Fashion Week this last weekend at the St Martins Lane Hotel.
The genius creator, graduated from the Central St Martins School of London, describes himself both as an artist and a designer. His creations are based on discovery researches, going from illustrations of moving characters, transposed in small 3D representations, to the human scale. Made famous by his collaborations with Umbro for the english soccer team’s jerseys for the Euro 2010, and with CP Company to modernize the legendary Goggle Jacket, his work was already very known by fashion lovers, thanks to a very mature graduate collection and to his work around the music universe.
Recently interviewed by CraneTV, he opens the doors of his studio, and reveals his creative process.
